DALLAS – (Business Wire) 7-Eleven, Inc. reports for duty this July as it joins forces with Paramount Pictures to promote the Aug. 7 release of the new action movie, “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.”

At the center of the promotion, starting Wednesday, is a new G.I. JOE-themed true-blue Slurpee® flavor – Liquid Artillery, a summer fruit blend of strawberry, pineapple and lime flavors created by The Coca-Cola Company. Four 22-oz. collectible Slurpee cups with matching character straws feature G.I. JOE team members CONRAD DUKE HOWSER and SNAKE EYES, and COBRA members, BARONESS and STORM SHADOW. An online Slurpee Nation sweepstakes offers a grand-prize trip for two to attend the Los Angeles premiere of the movie.

Besides its frozen blue Slurpee drink, 7-Eleven has added a hot beverage tie-in with a ‘GO JOE’ Cappuccino, mocha-flavored with three natural energy ingredients – taurine, guarana and caffeine. One 12-ounce cup has as much caffeine as an 8-ounce energy drink. Refillable silver and black 16-ounce coffee mugs featuring the G.I. JOE logo also are available while supplies last.

“G.I. JOE is probably the best-known boy’s toy in the world,” said Jay Wilkins, 7-Eleven brand manager for cold beverages. “The movie has a ready-made audience of boys and men who played with G.I. JOE, and we want to bring back some of those great childhood memories by promoting ‘G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra’ with a great, new Slurpee drink, fun cups and straws.”

In addition to the four plastic 3D cups, 7-Eleven has created two paper Slurpee cups with movie graphics along with Slurpee Nation reward codes that can be used to enter an online instant-win sweepstakes at www.slurpee.com.

Prizes awarded in the month-long sweepstakes include Xbox 360 Entertainment Systems, G.I. JOE Xbox 360 videogames, Xbox LIVE Gold subscriptions and one-year subscriptions to Symantec’s Norton Antivirus and spyware removal program. The sweepstakes for the trip to the Los Angeles movie premiere ends July 20.

Lee Byung Hun, a respected actor for his constant strive for excellence & hardworking attitude

On June 25, actor Lee Byung Hun consented a media interview while he was filming IRIS in Budapest, Hungary. The upclose and personal meet was held at one of the open cafes village square.

When asked the secret of being one of the long-runners in the competitive Korean show-business industry, Lee Byung Hun said “I have never intended to be a long-runner but I have been running through so fast, concentrating on my job so hard. The person who makes every effort to do his best in his job will always win the approval from people and never be treated bad. I was so lucky. I am happy to be loved by people for a long time. I wanted to keep running just like now even after 10 years more. Once an actor, I will always be an actor.”

BH also mentioned that he’s always trying to be professional in whatever he does and the secret of his success among fans was not intended; he just strives to do his best and is still on the run. He feels fortunate that he is able to continue pursuing his career thus far and feels especially lucky and blessed to have fans who have ceaselessly & continuously supporting him all these years.

He also commented that it’s very interesting to see his fans from each country expressed their loves and supports very uniquely. “My fans in each countries have different ways of expressing their love so that it’s hard to know in which country I am popular most. “

CJ Entertainment had recently reached an agreement with Major Studios Paramount Pictures, the distributor of “G.I. Joe – Rise of the Cobra”, to premiere the upcoming blockbuster movie in South Korea on 6th August. This will also be the movie’s world premiere

‘아이리스’ 韓드라마 최초 헝가리 로케촬영 ‘현지 무장경찰 동원’

IRIS location shoot in Hungary; assistance of local police sought and appreciated

Numerous updates from various Korean media sites today have been highlighting latest IRIS location pics filmed all the way in Hungary. The production crew and cast of the upcoming blockbuster drama+movie is currently filming major action scenes in the European city of Budapest and surrounding locations.

There have been intense shoot-out (as well as confrontational) scenes between the NSS agents played by Lee Byung Hun, Kim Tae Hee, Jung Jun Ho and Kim Seung Woo & Kim Soo Yeon as the North Korean agents to spice up the drama series which will boost a lot of high-pace action, in the storyline of commitment, romance and betrayal amongst the main characters.

Lee Byung Hun, face unmasked in new GI Joe trailer released for public

[Star News] Actor Lee Byung-hun in the full-fledged Hollywood movie GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra – continue to appear without the mask in the newly-released trailer for tv.

Various movie sites have been highlighting the new trailer since the past week. From the first ‘Paris Attack’ preview of blowing up the Eiffel Tower which showed Lee Byunghun unmasked, this new trailer piece also showed his face without being covered.

The latest update had certainly helped lessen eager fans’ concern and worry waiting for the movie even with the release of new movie posters including Storm Shadow in his trademark costume as the trailer scenes had showed the character in and out of the mask. Needless to say, Lee Byunghun as ninja-expert Storm Shadow is expected to show some brilliant swordsmanship skills in the upcoming movie.

Well, now it is time for episode 2 of HIP KOREA — SEOUL SAVVY, featuring the actor Lee Byung-hun. In many ways, HIP KOREA 2 is the prequel to the Rain episode, as this episode goes back and examines the changes Korea went through during the 1990s and into the 21st century. Rain is about where Korea is now, but Lee Byung-hun looks at how Korea got here. It turns out that Lee Byung-hun is a pretty good conduit for that story — he first made it big in 1992/3, around the time Korea got its first civilian president. He made JSA in 2000, at the same time as the North-South Summit between the Koreas. He starred in a couple of huge TV dramas that helped spark the boom of Korean TV dramas around Asia (aka Hallyu). And he starred in a couple of really big movies (A BITTERSWEET LIFE and THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE WEIRD) that showcased how far Korean movies and society have come along. I am quite excited to finally have this going on the air — it was a lot of work and took nearly a year to make. Actually, considering how Lee Byung-hun is a fairly substantial chapter in my book, POP GOES KOREA, you could say I have been working on this episode for years. Lee Byung Hun for the first time took up the challenge to narrate a documentary

Beijing morning news on June 18, stated that according to South Korean media reports, Korean superstar Lee Byung Hun’s deep voice has always been appreciated by fans as one of his charms. He was recently invited by KBS documentary series “Inside Asia” to participate in the narration for part 4 of the documentary series “The Earth of Mankind”.

“The Earth of Mankind” is divided into five short stories, and it is also one of KBS TV’s finest documentaries produced for “Inside Asia” series, with the highest production cost. In part one, “Man who Survived”, broadcasting on 21 June, Lee Byung Hun using his voice, narrated stories of those who are on the front line, constantly fighting for human rights and peace.

Producer of the documentary expressed that Lee Byung Hun’s voice has a special charm, it is the most attractive among the actors in Korea. Through his voice, the message which the documentary wanted to convey to the audience will be sent across more accurately.
